Somatic experiencing is a body-centred approach to understanding how trauma lives not just in memory, but in sensation, posture, and nervous system pattern. Less about talking about what happened — more about noticing what the body is still holding.

This gathering is not therapy. It’s a space for light exchange and shared curiosity — a conversation between people interested in how the body navigates complex trauma responses: the fawn reflex, the internal freeze, the quieter forms of flight that don’t always look like running away.

If you find yourself people-pleasing under pressure, disconnecting in the middle of conversations, or always scanning for the exit — emotionally, if not literally — you may already be living with some of these patterns. Naming them gently, outdoors with others, can itself be part of the undoing.

We’ll sit at the picnic tables in the park as the evening comes in, and talk — without agenda, without pressure.

The body holds what the mind hasn’t yet found words for. Sitting outside together, with no script and no performance, is already a small act of nervous system repair.
